After the legal scuffle between organizers, All Rights Reserved (HK) & The Ryan Foundation that made headline over the national media, the KAWS:HOLIDAY exhibition which features “The Companion” resume as the court ordered the exhibit to remain as planned through the scheduled date till 21st of November 2021.
According to ARR, the accusation made against them by TRF were groundless and that the company is seeking “urgent legal advice and will apply to the court to challenge the prohibitory injunction order”. “Our company takes this incident very seriously and will take all possible steps to ensure that this exhibition can progress in accordance with the laws of Singapore,” said ARR in a statement quoted in Yahoo News.
Brian Donnelly known professionally as Kaws , started as a graffiti artist and is now an evolved designer. His work includes repeated use of a cast of figurative characters and motifs, some dating back to the beginning of his career in the 1990s, initially painted in 2D and later realized in 3D. Some of his characters are his creations while others are reworked versions of existing icons.
